CBISD Meal Distribution News

Due to the county enacting the Stay Safe at Home Order, CBISD will stop its current feeding program starting tomorrow, Friday March 27. District staff will distribute extra food today, Thursday, March 26, to help students with meals for Friday. District administration is working on a plan for next week to not only feed students but to keep staff safe as well.

Medication pick up time

"Dear Parents/Guardians,

The nurses district-wide will be on their campuses on Tuesday, March 24th from 9 AM to 1 PM for medication pick up. Please plan to pick up any medication(s) you have dropped off for your student during this time frame. Anyone that is on the student's contact list may pick up the medication(s). If you are sick or have traveled to a high risk area, please send someone else on the contact list that is not of high risk for pick up."

CBISD will extend school cancellation through April 10th

All CBISD Campuses will be closed for normal operations until April 10th. As of now, CBISD plans to return to normal operations on Monday, April 13, 2020.

The Greater Houston area continues to see an increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 and health officials report that this number is expected to continue to increase as more testing is made available. We are strongly encouraging all families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by following the CDC recommendations on hand washing and social distancing. It is important that we all take these recommendations seriously.

All CBISD school and student activities in the future are to be considered postponed at this time. Decisions on these events will be made when CBISD returns to normal operations.

All CBISD campuses will immediately start reaching out to students and parent/guardians with instructional resource guidance.

All mandatory state testing for students, STAAR, EOC, etc., has been waived for the remainder of this school year.

CBISD Child Nutrition will continue the previously announced procedure to provide free meals at each CBISD elementary school.
