Message to Parents

Dear Parents,

As you know, CBISD will be out of school through April 10th. Our teachers have been working diligently to prepare resources and instructional materials to be used at home. We will continue to provide both paper based and online materials for students to access. Starting Monday, Chromebooks will be available to check out for use at home.

Next week, Barrow’s hours will change and we will be open from 9 AM to 2 PM. You may stop by the front office to pick up papers or check out a device during these business hours.

To access online instruction, go to CBISD.COM, Barrow page, scroll down to the bottom of the page to ‘Resources for Online Learning Lessons’. Some teachers will also be providing online materials in their Google Classroom. Students will need to join the Classroom to access materials.

Please remember that although academics are important, learning can take place in many ways. Have your children help you cook, have them measure ingredients, talk about how many cups are in a quart, etc. Read with your children. Ask questions such as ‘What do you think the story is about?’ ‘Why do you think the character felt that way?’ ‘What do you think will happen next?’ Have your children help with things around the house…teach them about daily activities for your family. Do arts and crafts or hands- on science with items around the house. Most importantly, use this time to have fun and make memories with your children!

A reminder that our Child Nutrition Department is serving meals from 10:30 – 11:30 Monday – Friday. Meals can be picked up in the car rider line located at the back of the school.

If you would like to pick up your child’s medication, Nurse Hall will be on campus Tuesday from 9:00 – 1:00.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher or call the front office at 979-799-1740.

Please check our webpage and/or our Facebook page for updated information.

Please stay safe and take care of yourself and your family.

Mrs. Belote
